That is a tough question to be honest as typically HW implemented is based on requirements of the business and / or constraints on-site. Instead of using someone elses design get a design partner in and select what fits your needs / requirements. For instance storage. There are entry level SANs for around 10k dollars... there are systems for around 60k and systems which are well over 200k. I can tell you I have a 500k system in my environment with multiple 10gig links, etc etc. But what does that add for you?
