vmware esxi 5.1 and third party backups

Dear vm experts,

Just want to know from all of you about the below kb from vmware which says if you are running 5.1 the third party backups may get successfull/fail acc to ur luck with out any consistancy and there is no solution to this problem as of now or in other words no third party backups are being suported by esxi 5.1 as of now. i am woried as well as eager to find out how the customers or users running 5.1 are backing up their VM infrastructure.
