I have been able to successfully install Fedora 17 as a guest machine, both text and graphical, without any problems. Why am I still trying to figure out how to get Fedora 2 installed then? I start my new course in a month and I want to have a foot in the door before I start, and I'm working with the presumption that if it's with the text, it's likely to be used as part of the course.
Thanks for your insight.
Instead of making a presumption I would call/email the appropriate person(s) to ascertain what the course requirements are and what explicitly and specifically will be covered in the course. Also considering how old "Fedora Core 2" is and the fact that it reached its End of Life on 04-11-2005 I'd have to question the legitimacy of a course that would use it to begin with. Even an entry level course should be using current and or still supported OSes! Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.
BTW Since you're learning and it important to be accurate and precise, especially with dealing with technology, it's "Fedora Core 2" not "Fedora 2" and the first release to be called by just "Fedora" was "Fedora 7". Additionally, IIRC, "Fedora Core 2" was never a supported Guest (or Host) OS with VMware Products.
