Is it not supported because it was a P2V?
It doesn't matter whether the VM has been newly created or P2V'd. A virtual disk can only be increased from the VM's settings, but not decreased.
If I V2V and resize the drive prior to teh conversion that should work shouldn't it.
Not sure if I understand this correctly!? The V2V is the conversion.
