i agree for monitoring mangeability purpose we have remote vcenter.

as you mention that if we have local instance of vcenter then the only advandage is of less bandwith and the application or any operation done from the local instance of vceneter will be fast.Then my point is will not be there increase in cost with this type of model.

Is there any other model where we have vcenter intance locally and that is part of remote vcenter sort of multisite.
