Re: How to make an endpoint Unique in Mirage

Hi Duco,

How did you create the basic VM? (ESX? Workstation? Fusion?)

How did you copy the VMs? (Just moving the VM files? Some Vmware supported clone procedure?)

Mirage Server identifies different clients by their BIOS UUID.

If all the client machines have the same UUID, the server will see them as one entity.

When you copy VM files to a new location, and then open the VM copy with Vmware Workstation, it will ask you if you copied the VM, and then will automatically generate a new BIOS UUID for the this VM copy.

I'm not sure if there's a parallel procedure in Vmware Fusion / Player.

However, if you implemented your own sysprep procedure, you can add UUID setup to it.

Regards,

Kosta.
