How to Reserve host Memory and Disk Space

Hi All,  I would like to know is there any sort of permission which we can apply in ESXi 5.0  to limit the usage of resources such as memory and HDD disk space for all VM’s which has already created as well as newly creating VM’s. Also is there any technique which we can apply to reserve some memory and Disk space for the host.  Thanks, Bits
