Re: Opps Manager and Capacity Planning.

Hey there thanks for your response,

This is the first time ive used vCops so its all very new (New Job) Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.
.

Up to now was familiar with Solarwinds for CP and monitoring.

Only realised late last week there was an upgrade path, its going on my list of stuff to do which is very very long....

I see the 180 VMs remaining by sellecting at the Cluster level, Chosing the Dashboard Tab, and dropping down "Why is Risk 22".

Is capacity management in 5.6 a little better \ more granular...?

Solarwinds (out of the box) would work off of the average size of VM of course some could be 64 Gb mem assigned and some 3 Gb Mem assigned so this never seemed to work that well, untill you gave it a pre defined VM standard baseline.

I will start looking at the upgrade, is it a tricky process requiring a call or pretty straight forward.

NB: i also realised 2 of our hosts have significantly more physical mem allocated is this going to affect the overall result..?

cheers

P
